The Curriculum 

Ujala School implements an Islamized English Curriculum which aims to be exciting, stimulating and challenging. Ujala Public School strives to provide for all students a wide range of learning opportunities based upon the local environment, firsthand experience, observation and problem solving. The teaching and the work set is matched against the ability, needs, interest and experience of the children. The Oxford curriculum is adopted which includes English, Mathematics, Science, Islamic Studies and Dars-ul-Quran. Each class aims to cater for 20-25 students.






Admission Criteria 

A well defined criterion of acceptance enables the administration to screen appropriate children on merit and equal rights are given to all children without any prejudice to status, caste, location and influence. Admissions are based on performance and intelligence and preference is given to deserving children. An entrance test is given to classify the educational level of each child based on the following:

  1. average to superior intellectual abilities
  2. Ability to attain above average scores on admission tests specific to the child's age
  3. Fine motor skills and writing skills that are age appropriate or better.
  4. Demonstration of verbal responses in an interview that are age appropriate or better.
  5. Evidence that the parents' educational goals and philosophy are compatible with the school
